Floor Coverings International Monterey Bay Bernardo and his crew did an outstanding job on my Dad's mobile home in Capitola. They had to remove carpeting that had been installed in 1992. The padding pretty much disintegrated and they had to remove about a 1000 staples. The carpeting was removed in 3 rooms, the large living area, the master bedroom, and a spare bedroom. What was amazing is they finished the job in 2 days ! They then moved all the heavy furniture back in each room. What we can't figure out is how they got those 2 twin sofa sleepers through the door. In any case, if you have any need to install laminate flooring ( we went with LVP with is a higher quality with a moisture barrier ) or any flooring, I would highly recommend Floorings International of Montery. Bernardo and his team got the carpet removed and the new floors installed in only 2 days ! Now granted we left the existing floor in the dining room but they had to remove the main living area, a large bedroom, and a smaller bedroom. While my daughter and son in law got all the furniture moved off the floors, they did return and moved the heavy stuff back into each room as directed. They somehow also got 2 twin sofa sleepers inside the living area as directed. They arrived earlier than expected so we gave them the combo to the lock box . When they were done, they locked both doors and put the key back in the lock box. We went with an LVP flooring since that particular brand is moisture proof since we live by the ocean. We were looking for a flooring installer for a kitchen project. We had already purchased the flooring materials and needed someone to handle the installation. FCI Monterey Bay was one of the contractors that came through an Angie’s List inquiry, so we scheduled an appointment. Dan, the owner, came out as planned. During the visit, he recommended alternative materials that he felt would be better suited for our project. We selected three options, and he took all the necessary measurements. He told us he would provide an estimate that evening, or at the latest, the following day, noting that he couldn’t prepare it on the spot because he had forgotten his estimating device. That was six weeks ago. We still have their samples, they have our contact information, and we haven’t heard a word. Very disappointing experience—poor customer service. UPDATE: 4/15- We’ve resolved the communication issue and changed our star rating. Dan visited our project with samples available based on our pattern and color preferences, and he answered all of our questions. We decided to have his company do the installation. We chose them for their honesty about what we were planning initially, and how that might wear. There was no upselling, he was ready to do the work required using the flooring material we purchased, and when we compared his samples with what we had planned at first we could see that what we had was an inferior product. We’ve now signed a contract, made the deposit, and looking forward to the finished project. Very happy with our meeting and Floor Coverings International Monterey Bay.

Dan Maschmeier did a great job getting his installation crew out promptly to install the carpet in my MB and home office. Since I had construction going on at my house I had to cancel installation several times which put a strain on their install dept. But he was kind enough to work on my time line. And when his crew came out to install, they were very nice and did a great job in a timely manner. We love the carpet and the price was right. I highly recommend FCI MB and would use their services again in a heartbeat!👍😀
