We had an excellent experience with this company from start to finish. Austin was very professional—he called in advance to confirm our needs and made sure to bring the right samples. He followed up to answer our questions and stayed in touch throughout the process, which we really appreciated. About a month later, we were notified that the products had arrived, and an installation appointment was quickly scheduled. On installation day, Rick and Ilyah arrived on time and were incredibly professional. They worked efficiently, paid close attention to detail, and did a fantastic job. The results truly exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t be happier with the entire experience and highly recommend this team.

Recently moving back into the Detroit area from 15yrs out of state and in need of a flooring specialist for our new home, we didn’t quite know where to start. After some brief research online, it was notable to see the high ratings and overwhelmingly positive feedback on FCI in the Grosse Pointe area. We reached out and within a matter of hours (not days), we received contact from Austin to get the process rolling on a consult. He’s very affable, considerate, and most importantly, hyper-focused on our project timing/budget. What’s more, he’s exceedingly well-informed for a variety of flooring solutions and his follow-up is impeccable. Every step of the way, he worked meticulously to ensure our needs were met and budget for our desired project was intact, even despite an unforeseen subflooring concern once demo began (older GP home built in the 60’s). Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the result of our new beautiful hardwood floors and carpeting which was completed prior to the school year. We feel very fortunate to have worked with the FCI team as their entire crew made us feel like family and welcomed to our new area. We’ve had many home projects/contractors throughout our years of homeownership and FCI is in a class of its own. To illustrate it further, we received in-person visits from the owner Ken to diagnose our subflooring concern to ensure the best approach was aligned as well as a spotless cleanup of all installation dust/debris led by his co-owner and wife, Amy before we returned back home post-install. The level of care and detail for our home and satisfaction was simply impressive and truly appreciated. Lastly, special thanks to John the project/install lead as he helped to carefully coordinate and communicate timing, project flow/solutions, sent updates, and talked Lions and Michigan football which I always appreciate ;) If you want to make a great decision on your flooring project, look no further than FCI as they have you more than covered. Just love my new 2nd floor carpet ordered and installed through Floor Coverings International Metro East Detroit !! The process was so easy from reviewing a full range of samples in my home, selecting, knowing my options for carpet construction vs price and scheduling the installation. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them.

This experience was outstanding!!! We had luxury vinyl plank flooring installed in 3 rooms. Austin helped us pick out the product. John and Austin came out to answer some questions. The work was quick and professional. Rick and Ilyiah and John worked very hard to install the flooring. The rooms are so improved. They all deserve a round of applause. We couldn’t be happier! We’ve used FCI twice. Initially for carpet and then recently had our wood floors redone. The owners are very diligent and show up to make sure the job is done right. We were on vacation while the wood floors were refinished and when we came home we were thrilled. Highly recommend using this company! -Bill

Had our old carpeting removed in our living and dining rooms and the original hardwood floors refinished. FCI did the whole job for us, including moving all the furniture in and out, and replacing the floor moulding. Everything was done to a very high standard, and we couldn't be more pleased! They were all quick, clean, very very polite and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy and satisfied. As an example, when they were moving our furniture back in, I realized that I hadn't thought to get some kind of cushioning pads to protect the new floor. Austen went to the store and purchased some for us, and then they spent extra time applying and positioning the pads. Can't say enough good things about this company!

The carpeting in my home was 30 years old. I knew I had to have it replaced, but who could I trust to do it? I knew the replacement product was important but maybe more so the installation. I decided to check out the Inside Outside Guys site as I trusted their recommendations. There I found Floor Coverings International. It was easy to contact FCI and make an appointment. They came right to my home with their mobile showroom. It took me some time to select my vinyl plank flooring for the main part of the house (living room, hall, and two bedrooms). Austin sent me all the samples that I needed to make my decision. I am very pleased with the patterns I chose. Austin was adamant that his main concern was that I was happy with the product and the installation. For my kitchen and dining room, FCI was able to get the luxury vinyl roll flooring that I saw at another vendor. I really had my heart set on the pattern and was thrilled that Ken was able to get it for me. Installation took one day and Chris did a great job, he is a master of installation. He cleaned up and took away all the old flooring. Now, the installation of my vinyl plank flooring is complete throughout the house and I am enjoying another great installation. The flooring is so beautiful. I would recommend Floor Coverings International to anyone for the best selection and installation.
