We had Brazilian cherry floors, but we were not happy with the red color tone of these floors - the color of the wood floors was dated and it did not match the colors of our furniture or the decor of our home. We studied all the trends in flooring and decided to get quotes for replacing our floors with new wood floors that featured wide planks with an updated color scheme. We interviewed several different contractors and each of the contractors gave us their opinions and also provided us with a quote for replacing all the flooring on our first floor. David of Floor Coverings International in Del Mar stood out from the other contractors we interviewed. He provided us with the best pricing, his reviews were spectacular, he was patient with answering all of our questions, and we liked that he was the owner of the business - providing very personalized service. We spent hours and hours and hours selecting the wood for our home, and then we signed a contract. The team of installers performed the demolition of our old floors in one day. They were very clean with this portion of the work. The next day they started with final preparation and installation of our flooring. They finished the entire project in just six days. They were extremely attentive to details throughout the entire project. The office kept us informed of every step of the plan and the process. The installers, supervisor, and project manager were constantly checking all aspects of the installation to ensure that everything was PERFECT. After the flooring was completed, they installed new baseboards that completed the look. I am a perfectionist and I was skeptical that they would meet my expectations, but they actually exceeded all expectations. The new flooring looks AMAZING - it's like we have a brand new home. I'm sure that the new floors have dramatically increased the value of our home. I would highly recommend David and team to anyone that is considering new flooring. It's nice to find a trustworthy contractor that provides best pricing, while also offering the very, very highest level of quality and customer service.
