We had Brazilian cherry floors, but we were not happy with the red color tone of these floors - the color of the wood floors was dated and it did not match the colors of our furniture or the decor of our home. We studied all the trends in flooring and decided to get quotes for replacing our floors with new wood floors that featured wide planks with an updated color scheme. We interviewed several different contractors and each of the contractors gave us their opinions and also provided us with a quote for replacing all the flooring on our first floor. David of Floor Coverings International in Del Mar stood out from the other contractors we interviewed. He provided us with the best pricing, his reviews were spectacular, he was patient with answering all of our questions, and we liked that he was the owner of the business - providing very personalized service. We spent hours and hours and hours selecting the wood for our home, and then we signed a contract. The team of installers performed the demolition of our old floors in one day. They were very clean with this portion of the work. The next day they started with final preparation and installation of our flooring. They finished the entire project in just six days. They were extremely attentive to details throughout the entire project. The office kept us informed of every step of the plan and the process. The installers, supervisor, and project manager were constantly checking all aspects of the installation to ensure that everything was PERFECT. After the flooring was completed, they installed new baseboards that completed the look. I am a perfectionist and I was skeptical that they would meet my expectations, but they actually exceeded all expectations. The new flooring looks AMAZING - it's like we have a brand new home. I'm sure that the new floors have dramatically increased the value of our home. I would highly recommend David and team to anyone that is considering new flooring. It's nice to find a trustworthy contractor that provides best pricing, while also offering the very, very highest level of quality and customer service.

Floor Coverings International did a fantastic job. They were flexible with us in terms of timing, as we timed the work with our existing vacation, and had area rugs cleaned, which they waited for in order to move us back in. Also, I loved that they did the furniture moving rather than having to hire another entity as other companies require. Finally they price was very fair. We will definitely use FCI again in the future.

We were extremely happy with the quality of service provided. Dominic, during our first meeting, listened to our needs and immediately took measurements - we had our proposal in hand before he left our home. The flooring and installation team showed up on time and we appreciated their professionalism with all phases of the work. They were also able to work within our desired schedule. We received three other bids that slowly came in after Floor Coverings International but none matched the service and quality we received from the FCI team. We will definitely use them again for our future flooring needs!!

The entire flooring was replaced and it looks fantastic. The whole project was managed very professionally, and attention to details made it easy for the customer. The baseboards and toe kicks were painted and replaced. And the price is right, very transparent.
